Turning Point Interventions offers a person centered approach to comprehensive telepsychiatry services for individuals participating in other Turning Point Interventions services. Psychiatric services are provided via telehealth by appointment to promote active and consistent communication between the individual and the practicing provider. Our goals include effectively meeting the needs of the individual by providing person-centered care.
Our telepsychiatry services assist individuals by providing psychiatric assessments and care through videoconferencing with a licensed psychiatric nurse practitioner.
The following services can be paid for by Virginia Medicaid:
- Medication management
- Psychiatric evaluation
- Psychoeducation regarding disorders
- Psychiatric follow-up
- Care coordination
Referral sources for our psychiatric services may include managed care organizations, community partners, self-referral, physicians’ offices, family, friends, other behavioral health agencies, schools, the Department of Social Services, foster care agencies, TPI internal programs, and Office of Children’s’ Services (CSA).
